Alessandra Rombolà (flute) and Benedetto Boccuzzi (piano) met in 2017 at the International Festival of Contemporary Music URTIcanti in Bari and they immediately discovered a deep artistic affinity. Since then they have played as a duo in different projects. Their aim is to propose key works of the contemporary repertoire for flute and piano and to stimulate the creation of new works. They are also interested in performance and they collaborate with composers of the last generation who wish to explore extra musical elements such as movement, theatre, poetry and visual arts. The duo proposes challenging concerts programs, where the roles of the instrumentalist and the performer often interchange and overlap.
